The face of selfish entertainment
These pictures were the result of my photography class at the university. As main topic I chose portraits. But when I went down to the local zoo and shot my first pictures of that day, I saw that all the animals seemed sad and depressed. As I got aware of my surrounding – adults knocking on the glass fronts and children complaining that the animals are not looking at them – I realized how selfish this display of animals is. That was when I decided to dedicate my project to this poor creatures and by showing their sadness.
